Yun-Hoi Li is a specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology (paediatric orthopaedics) in private practice. He is concurrently honorary associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Hong Kong.
Dr Li graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong, in 1982, then went on to train in orthopaedic surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital. Dr Li served the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital as a consultant from 1994 to 2007.
An editor of the Journal of Orthopaedics and the Hong Kong Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr Li is a prolific investigator whose work has appeared in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (Br) and Gait & Posture. He has lectured extensively both locally and internationally.
Dr Li was president of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association from 2001 to 2002, and was president of its Paediatric Orthopaedic Chapter from 2001 to 2002 and from 2004 to 2005. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and is a council member of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association.
