Dr Chik Kwan Hui

Chik Kwan Hui is a specialist in family medicine in private practice in Hong Kong.

Dr Hui obtained his basic medical qualification from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 1998. From 1999 to 2001, he served as medical officer in various departments of the Queen Mary Hospital (QMH), Hong Kong, including surgery, accident and emergency, medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics and traumatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, psychiatry and geriatrics. Thus, he received his hospital-based training in family medicine. From 2001 to 2003, he underwent community-based training in family medicine by working in numerous hospitals and clinics in Hong Kong including the Integrated Clinic, Tsan Yuk Hospital; University Health Service Clinic, HKU; Staff Clinic, QMH; and General Out-patient Clinic, Tung Wah Hospital.

In 2003, when Hong Kong was affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Dr Hui served in the accident and emergency department, QMH, Hong Kong. In 2004, he acquired his post graduate diploma in practical dermatology from the University of Wales College of Medicine, UK. From 2005 to 2008, he served as resident medical officer in the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital, Hong Kong. He entered private practice in 2003. Since 2003, Dr Hui also serves as honorary teacher in Family Medicine Unit of QMH, Hong Kong.

Dr Hui is Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Family Medicine) since 2007, Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Family Medicine since 2004, and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2004.
