Jonathan Wong is a senior occupational therapist and clinician-in-charge in the Sexual Rehabilitation Specialty, Rehabaid Centre, Hong Kong Hospital Authority, a position he has maintained since 1994.

Mr Wong acquired his Professional Diploma in Occupational Therapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1982. In 1994, he also obtained the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration degree from the City University, Bellevue, Washington, USA. In 1998 and 1999, Mr Wong completed advanced training in sexual rehabilitation, and sexual counseling clinical supervision, respectively, organized by the Sexuality and Disability Training Centre, Boston University Medical Centre, USA. Since 2001, he is a sexuality counselor certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).

Since 2008, Mr Wong serves as tutor and examiner for the Diploma in Men’s Health programme (sexuality counseling) conducted by the Department of Community and Family Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2007, he is a member of the International Committee of AASECT as well as an editorial board member of Sexuality and Disability, an international journal devoted to the psychological and medical aspects of sexuality in rehabilitation and community settings.

Mr Wong has been an invited speaker at numerous regional conferences including the WONCA 2009 Asia Pacific Regional Conference and Regional Conference on Women with Disabilities 2008 (East and South East Asia).
