Sylvia Lam is a senior registered dietitian in Qualigenics Diabetes Centre, Hong Kong. She is also Chairlady of the Hong Kong Dietitians Association (HKDA).
Ms Lam acquired her Master of Nutrition and Dietetics qualification from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 2000. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (Australia), Accredited Dietitian (HKDA) and Sports Dietitian (Sports Dietitians Australia). She is also an honorary lecturer in nutrition in the Chinese University of Hong.
Ms Lam’s specialized areas of practice include diabetes, weight management, and diet management for patients with metabolic syndrome, high serum cholesterol and hypertension.
Ms Lam actively participates in public educational activities by providing nutritional advice through newspaper articles, and radio and television shows. She has also published nutrition books on recipes for pregnant ladies, infants aged 0−2 years, and patients with diabetes and high cholesterol. |
